West Essex Colts FC was established in 2003 as the Youth Football Section of West Essex FC, part of the West Essex Cricket & Football Club and based at The Rolls Sports Ground, Hickman Avenue, Highams Park, E4.

 In 2004, the club were amongst the first junior football clubs to receive the prestigious F.A. Charter Standard Club Award, the highest Football Association accolade for junior clubs. To obtain this award, the club successfully demonstrated and met demanding standards in Coaching, Child Protection, Emergency Aid, Finance and General Administration.

 The club now have a playing membership of circa 120, with an ambition to provide competitive football, quality coaching and a fun environment for the youth of Highams Park, Chingford and the surrounding areas. The clubs principal aim is to encourage a culture in which children and young people can participate in football in a safe and enjoyable environment and by encouraging personal physical fitness, teamwork and discipline, we aim to have a tangible positive impact on the lives of our youth players.

 

Prospective new players should in the first instance, contact Mark Penfold. The club has their own clubhouse and facilities and all Managers/Coaches are F.A. qualified and CRB checked. The club offers a varied football programme including competitive football, structured training, tournaments and tours with an emphasis on player development. The club also offers a varied social programme for all playing members and their wider families.
